Exactly four and a half months following Russell Martin's initial media briefing as Rangers manager, successor the German coach met with reporters at Rangers' stadium for the first time.

The scale of the challenge facing him is widely recognized, given Martin's turbulent and unsuccessful four-month tenure.

The former Sheffield Wednesday boss was joined by chairman the chairman, along with the frequently questioned pair of sporting director Kevin Thelwell and chief executive Patrick Stewart.

However, what exactly was revealed from the young coach's maiden media outing as the club's manager?

The Manager's Main Priority - Winning is Everything

One thing came through loud and clear from Rohl's initial presentation in front of the Scottish media - he understands the need to win matches, and do so rapidly.

His predecessor Russell Martin lasted only 17 games and four months as manager, so the inquiry emerged about what timeframe the new man believes is realistic to turn around the underperforming squad.

Although deftly avoiding a direct answer that might create future pressure, Rohl's message was quite clear.

"With hope very quickly," he said. "This is crucial.
"In this business you have limited time. You can discuss future plans but we know it's about the short-term and that period is about winning games. This is what I demand.
"Another aspect remains clear - I require all players to understand how we want to play. I return to my primary message: it's winning, it's attractive and unity. If you follow this order, I believe that I will remain for years here."

Pressure is Normal

The previous manager needed a police escort to leave the stadium after his last game in charge.

We've seen how toxic environments can turn at football clubs when results are poor. Protests have nearly become a regular aspect of game day experience on each part of Glasgow currently.

As the club's most youthful ever head coach, the question asked about what qualities Rohl believes he has that would allow him to handle, let alone excel, in among the highest-pressure roles in British football?

"In my opinion expectations in football is normal," he commented. "One needs to understand that very quickly.
"I think some people might mention my age but I have been a decade and a half on this path. I experienced an excellent opportunity to be at Bayern Munich and be only an assistant manager, but I experienced what it means to manage a team and the pressure involved.
"You begin getting results and then certain people claim you must produce entertaining football. That's the next stage but precisely what I want. I enjoy that challenge and I'm excited about the future."

Thelwell Explains Chermiti Signing & Appointing Family Member

There were plenty of questions from the media directed at Thelwell.

Much discussion has focused on the appointment of Robbie Thelwell as head of recruitment, with supporters skeptical about his qualifications for the position.

Nevertheless, he justified and explained the decision to bring his son to the club.

"It remains awkward to hear and optically I believe we all agreed when we made this decision to appoint Robbie that he'd be seen in a particular way," Thelwell said.
"The reality of circumstances is that we want to attract the top players to this club.
"My perspective on his professional path and background is he required no family help in soccer.
"He served at Aston Villa as head scout, after which he joined Norwich City as scouting chief and then was elevated to development role.
"Before we recruited him, multiple Premier League teams sought to sign him. Our approach from the start of the process was discuss with the CEO, the chairman and deputy chairman Paraag Marathe about this matter.
"I remained highly transparent and I think he likely experienced a stricter process than anybody else employee by this football club.
"I'm certain is that he will work constantly to achieve success for this football club and I'm looking forward seeing him proving that he'll become an excellent employee for Rangers."

Thelwell also supported the signing of forward Youssef Chermiti, who joined the club for a reported first payment of eight million pounds, having failed to find the net in 24 games for Everton.

It was Thelwell who brought the Portuguese young international to Liverpool from Sporting Lisbon - again for large funds in a fifteen million pound deal.

He was asked if he stands by his expensive signing, who is yet to register in seven outings for Rangers.

"Absolutely, completely," Thelwell responded. "I believe Youssef Chermiti represents who's got great ability.
"I've never doubted him whatsoever. Similarly, I think Danny will assist in get the best out of Youssef.
"It's very initial stages for the young player, he's a young talent and naturally with inexperienced players they sometimes take time.
"But I'm certain throughout of his career at the club he's going to prove that he is very, very good footballer."

The CEO Acknowledges Fan Frustration and Anger

Stewart was also in the media scrutiny, considering the vitriol that has been directed at him by certain club fans.

There was even a sign in the stadium during the last tie with Dundee United suggesting him - and the sporting director - to depart before being removed for them.

Like his sporting director, the CEO did not evade the issue.

"I completely understand the frustration and anger that fans are feeling because results recently haven't met expectations and nobody's satisfied with them," he stated.
"The pain and frustration fans experience is matched within the boardroom.
"Recognize that there has to be an outlet for those frustrations and in my role, I'm responsible.
"I serve as focal point for such issues and my responsibility as a
